Holiday Guides - Cuba
A Guide to Cuba by Global Holidays
Cuba is a powerful mix of intoxicating sights and styles that come together to make one of the most exiting holiday destinations in the whole of the Caribbean. Just picture dramatic mountains that reach into blue skies, over 250 flawless beaches, an intriguing Afro- Caribbean culture, sensual Latin rhythms, plus romantic architecture and you'll see a country of vivid contrasts.
Away from the all inclusive hotels, dining is limited. Fresh fruit, grilled meats, rice, beans and seafood are in adequate supply, as is the locally produced rum and beer.
Cuba can offer quite a wide range of souvenirs to choose from, including pottery, wood carvings, coins and even the cigars that Cuba is famous for.
Cuba is a thrilling place to visit, but can be unpredictable at times. The electricity supply doesn't always function perfectly, public transport can be unreliable and you may find that you won't be able to get every dish advertised on various menus.
